Description
Havn't seen this monster in awhile.
And you can totally skip everything I'm going to say next if you want to know nothing about them.
This is a Shadow Beast. As it's name suggests it is very nearly half shadow and half beast.
They range in color from medium gray to pure black.
In lore they are considered an omen and commonly associated with darkness, death, and blood.
They are always seen at night and are extremely dangerous.
Ironically, Shadowbeasts with a pure white coat are considered almost angelic.
There are exact opposites of their darker coated bretheren and can be seen day or night.
They are associated with winter and are known for guiding people through the harsh cold or comforting those doomed to die from the elements.
They are also seen by the dying as a guardian and guide to the land of the dead.

Great picture. The creature is interesting. Can you give me more information on the Shadow Beasts and do the ones with pure white coats have a different name? Is this a made up creature or from some culture?
